Frances Montemayor joined Woodsmall Law Group, PC. in August 2025, and she is currently an associate attorney. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating cum laude. She received her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law. During her time at Pepperdine, Frances served as Associate Editor for Pepperdine Law Review and was involved in both the Faith and Family Mediation and the Restoration and Justice Clinics.

Throughout her professional career, Frances has focused on work that supports vulnerable children and families. Before law school, she served as an Americorps Member with City Year, where she supported and mentored students in the classroom and helped develop an afterschool program. During law school, she worked at Inland Counties Legal Services over the summer, where she provided pro-bono family law legal assistance to families in need. Frances also worked at the Children’s Law Center of California, where she supported children in the foster care system. She is excited to continue her passion for supporting children by helping families navigate the special education process, and by advocating for the rights of children with disabilities.
